Thirty-two (32) new soldiers under the Special Enlistment quota have completed the Basic Military Training (BMT) in a Closing Ceremony held at the Mindanao Army Training Group, Training and Doctrine Command in Kalilangan, Bukidnon on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
The new breed of soldiers who belonged to the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) Class 760-2023 composing of 26 males and six (6) females underwent more than four (4) months of rigid training since April this year that measured their physical and mental abilities while transforming them from civilians into fine grown military men and women.
Brigadier General Mitchele B. Anayron Jr. Commander of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, who represented the 4ID Commander in the Closing Ceremony, emphasized the importance of possessing commitment and dedication to service which will help every new soldier in performing their mandate to serve and secure the people and communities amidst difficulties and challenges that may come along their way.
After the BMT, the new graduates who are all under the Special Enlistment quota will be subsequently deployed in different units.
Meanwhile, in his message, Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II congratulated the new soldiers as well as their training staff for successfully hurdling the training. He also added that this is not the end but the beginning of their military careers.
“Even after accomplishing the Basic Military Training, keep in mind that your development as a soldier does not end here, instead it’s just getting started. Ninety-Nine percent of your development will be learned in the field. You have to show your utmost discipline to face all the challenges that you may encounter and focus on your vision,” he said.
