Willie Revillame Joins Luxury Car Auction Featuring Vehicles from Controversial Contractors

TV host Willie Revillame was listed among the registered bidders in the Bureau of Customs’ recent auction of luxury vehicles owned by controversial contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya. The auction, held on Wednesday, February 11, attracted attention not only for the high-end cars on sale but also for the notable personalities participating in the bidding.

The event featured a total of 10 luxury vehicles, eight of which belonged to the Discayas. These included a 2024 Lincoln Navigator, 2022 GMC Yukon Denali, 2021 Cadillac Escalade, 2022 Maserati Levante Modena, 2022 GMC Yukon XL Denali, 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a 2022 Bentley Bentayga. The remaining two cars were Bugatti Chiron models, completing the lineup of ultra-luxury vehicles.

Although Willie Revillame did not personally attend the auction, he was represented by Christian James Ronquillo Lina, who participated in his stead. Other prominent bidders included Pio Velasco of Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. and R33 Car Exchange Corp., both of whom were also registered participants in the high-profile auction.

Despite the impressive roster of vehicles, only one car was successfully sold during the event. The 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan was purchased by Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. for a total of ₱29,026,000, marking the highlight of the auction. The other nine vehicles, including several high-end SUVs and sports cars, did not receive winning bids and remained unsold.

The proceeds from the auction are intended to support government programs, providing a public benefit from the sale of these high-value vehicles. The Bureau of Customs emphasized that the auction aligns with its mandate to liquidate seized or confiscated assets in a transparent and responsible manner.

This auction has garnered attention not only for the luxury cars on display but also for the participation of well-known figures in Philippine media and business. As interest in high-value asset auctions grows, more events like this are expected to attract both the public and registered bidders in the coming months.
