Leading health, wellness, and beauty retailer Watsons Philippines is taking its sustainability efforts beyond its stores and products, bringing more responsible practices into its supply chain through a new partnership with Mober and the integration of electric vehicles into its delivery operations.
Behind every product on a Watsons shelf or delivered to a customer’s doorstep is a network of warehouses, vehicles, stores, and processes that keep products moving. For Watsons, making that journey more sustainable is becoming an important part of how it operates.
This is where its partnership with Mober comes in. The collaboration brings Mober’s 100% electric logistics fleet into Watsons’ delivery operations, with four electric vehicles initially supporting the movement of products from Watsons’ distribution center to branches across Metro Manila. The initiative represents a pioneering step in exploring how electric mobility can be integrated into everyday retail delivery operations.
“Sustainability is ingrained in how Watsons operates. Logistics is an important part of retail, and partnering with Mober allows us to extend this commitment into our delivery operations. Through Mober’s 100% electric fleet, we are exploring how electric mobility can help us make the movement of our products more sustainable while continuing to meet the needs of our stores and customers,” said Danilo S. Chiong, Managing Director of Watsons Philippines.
The move builds on initiatives Watsons has already introduced across different parts of its business. These include Greener Stores, the use of paper bags and encouragement for customers to bring their own reusable bags, its Sustainable Choices range, and Recycle for Rewards, which gives customers an opportunity to recycle empty product packaging while earning rewards.
Together, these initiatives reflect Watsons’ approach to sustainability as part of the broader retail journey, from the products and stores customers interact with to the processes that bring those products to them.

The initial deployment of four electric vehicles is already showing promising results. From March to May, the electric vehicles helped complete a total of 109 trips, saving approximately 656kg of carbon emissions, demonstrating the potential environmental impact of integrating more sustainable solutions into day-to-day operations. The initial deployment is just the beginning, as Watsons and Mober plan to scale the use of the electric vehicles in the months and years to come, further expanding the role of electric mobility across the delivery network.
For Mober, the partnership also illustrates how electric mobility can be incorporated into the everyday needs of businesses, rather than treated simply as a technology shift. The collaboration demonstrates how electric mobility can support the practical needs of businesses while helping reduce the environmental impact of logistics.
“Partnerships like this show that sustainability can be integrated into the way businesses operate every day. By working with Watsons, we are demonstrating how electric logistics can support the movement of products efficiently while helping businesses reduce the environmental impact of their operations, ” said Dennis Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Mober.
For Watsons, the transition to electric delivery is not simply about replacing conventional vehicles. It also involves considering routes, charging requirements, vehicle capacity, and delivery schedules to ensure that sustainable solutions work alongside the demands of its growing store network and e-commerce business.

For Watsons, the partnership also ties back to its “Look Good, Do Good, Feel Great” philosophy. Beyond helping customers live healthier and happier lives, the brand continues to explore ways to make choices that are better for communities and the planet.
As Chiong puts it, “Sustainability is about looking at every touchpoint — from the moment a customer walks into a Watsons store or places an order, to the moment that product reaches their hands, and finding ways to do better at every step.”
The partnership with Mober is one of those steps. By looking at what happens behind the scenes, Watsons is finding another opportunity to make its everyday operations more responsible while continuing to deliver the health, beauty, and wellness products its customers need.
