Vice President Sara Duterte has arrived at the International Criminal Court (ICC) headquarters, just hours before her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is set to face the courtroom.
Upon her arrival, VP Duterte expressed her gratitude for the support shown to her father and thanked the Dutch Foreign Ministry and the Philippine Embassy in the Netherlands for their assistance.
Accompanying VP Duterte were former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and Senator Robin Padilla. In her media interview, VP Duterte demonstrated her appreciation for the support of Filipinos for her family.
Former President Duterte’s appearance at the ICC is in connection with the investigation into his alleged involvement in extrajudicial killings during his administration. The case has generated significant interest in the Philippines and around the world.
