SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Police Col. Romeo Villalobos Jr. has assumed office as provincial director of the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office, succeeding Police Col. Yahya Yusup.
Police Regional Office 13 director Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon presided over the turnover ceremony at the provincial police headquarters’ Kabalikat Hall on Monday, Sept. 7.
Suguilon commended Yusup, who had led the provincial police since March 2024, and expressed confidence in Villalobos’ ability to build on the organization’s gains.
He urged personnel to support the new leadership and continue serving with integrity, courage and commitment to the public.
Gov. Santiago Cane Jr., Vice Gov. Patricia Anne Plaza, Bayugan Mayor Kirk Asis, Esperanza Mayor Deo Manpatilan Jr., military officers, police officials and other representatives attended the ceremony.
Villalobos takes command of the provincial police force responsible for maintaining peace and order and enforcing the law across Agusan del Sur.
