MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur — About 40,000 supporters and members of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) attended the 1st General Assembly of UBJP on Monday, May 6, 2024 held in Poona Bayabao, Lanao Del Sur.
Along with the said activity, new party members and officials from the provinces of Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur and Marawi City were sworn in.
The activity was led by UBJP Party President and Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim together with Party Vice-President Mohagher Iqbal, Maguindanao del Norte Governor Abdulrauf Macacua, Cotabato City Mayor Mohammad Ali “Bruce” Matabalao and some of the senior officials of the party.
“I seek for the full support of our members to the party by participating in the upcoming elections so we can continue with our development initiatives and programs in the Bangsamoro Region,” Ebrahim emphasized.
Ebrahim cited it is a big challenge for the UBJP to keep the leadership of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The official admitted that although he is tired, but he will continue to work on their aspiration of a progressive and developed Bangsamoro homeland.
Meanwhile, UBJP Secretary General Abdulrauf “Sammy Gambar” Macacua encouraged the party’s supporters to promote unity among each and every one, adding that the words United Bangsamoro Justice Party should be put into practice.
In a statement, UBJP Vice-President for Central Mindanao Mohagher Iqbal said there are principles in their party that do not exist in other political parties such as the moral governance.
