SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Police arrested two suspected street-level drug personalities in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Agusan del Norte, seizing a combined P171,904 worth of suspected shabu, according to the Police Regional Office (PRO) 13.
The operations, conducted on September 23 and 24, were carried out by personnel from local police units in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Caraga as part of intensified efforts against illegal drug activities in the region.
Police Regional Director PBGen. Rolindo M. Suguilon said the first operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Prin,” 38, in Purok 3, Barangay Matabao, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, on September 23.
Operatives from the Buenavista Municipal Police Station (MPS), working with PDEA Caraga, recovered around 15.1 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P102,680.
Also seized during the operation were marked money, cash, a cellular phone, and a coin purse.
In a separate operation on September 24, authorities arrested alias “Quian,” 20, in District 4, Barangay Camagong, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
The operation was conducted by personnel of the Nasipit MPS and the Agusan del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit, in coordination with PDEA Caraga.
Police said the suspect yielded sachets containing approximately 10.18 grams of suspected shabu valued at P69,224, along with two cellular phones, marked money, lighters, and a glass tube believed to be drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects and the confiscated items are now under the custody of the operating units for documentation and proper disposition. Authorities are preparing the filing of appropriate charges against the arrested individuals.
Suguilon said the successful operations demonstrate the police force’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs and other threats to public safety.
“These successful operations demonstrate our continued commitment to addressing illegal drug activities and other threats to public safety,” Suguilon said.
He added that PRO 13 will continue working with partner agencies to strengthen law enforcement efforts and maintain peace and security in the region.
