CAGAYAN DE ORO – Toyota Cagayan de Oro Inc. officially introduced the much-awaited Next Generation Toyota Tamaraw FX on August 28, 2025, at its dealership showroom. The launch drew excitement among Kagay-anons as the iconic Filipino utility vehicle made its comeback in a modern form.
The event was made even more special with the presence of Toyota Brand Ambassador, award-winning actor and director Coco Martin, who shared his personal connection with the Tamaraw.

“Para sa akin, noong bumili ako ng Toyota Tamaraw, ginamit ko ito para sa aking negosyo. Napakalaking tulong nito ngayon upang mas mapabilis at mapalago ko ang aking negosyo,” Martin said before a crowd of guests, media, and Toyota executives.

For decades, the Toyota Tamaraw has been a household name, known for its toughness and reliability. It became a trusted vehicle for families, business owners, and transport operators across the country. With the launch of its new generation, Toyota aims to keep this strong legacy alive while offering features that meet the needs of today’s market.
Coco Martin also highlighted the brand’s mission to serve every Filipino.
“Ginawa po nila itong Toyota Tamaraw para sa lahat ng pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino,” he said.
He added, “Napakalaki pong tulong ng Toyota Tamaraw ngayon sa buhay ng lahat ng mga Pilipino.”

The new Tamaraw FX carries the same spirit of versatility as the original, designed to move both people and goods with ease. It reflects Toyota’s commitment to providing vehicles that are not only dependable but also responsive to the changing lifestyle of Filipinos.

Toyota executives in Cagayan de Oro expressed confidence that the Tamaraw will once again play a vital role in the community—whether as family transport, a school service, or a partner in business.
With its strong legacy and a new chapter ahead, the Next Generation Toyota Tamaraw FX is set to reclaim its place on Philippine roads. And in Cagayan de Oro, its journey begins with the same promise it carried decades ago: to move the Filipino forward. (JME/MDN)
