𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮, 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 – The “Kapihan sa Lapyahan” in Barangay Looc, Villanueva, provided a platform for fisherfolk and farmers to voice their concerns and seek assistance for their livelihoods. Among the fisherfolk’s primary concerns were the need for ayuda, specifically gasoline support for their bangka operations and assistance with maintaining the seaside borders and relocation sites.
On the other hand, farmers raised issues related to access to fertilizers and concerns regarding land borders. During the gathering, plans were discussed to conduct an assessment of the area to verify the legality of land borders, ensuring that farmers have secure and rightful access to their land. Additionally, efforts were made to address the community’s needs through the PMU-LEAP.
To ensure that the residents of Barangay Looc qualify for assistance programs, steps were taken to facilitate their application process and enable them to avail of essential support services. Overall, the event served as a vital opportunity for community members to engage with relevant stakeholders and advocate for their needs.
Through collaborative efforts and proactive initiatives, efforts were made to address the immediate concerns of fisherfolk and farmers while also working towards sustainable solutions to support their livelihoods and enhance their overall well-being. (Photo Rrelease)
