It’s been a while since the impeachment fever took flight months ago. Now, we see the political adversaries of VP Sara, amid great uncertainties, pushing hard for the impeachment trial at the Senate. But wait, isn’t VP Sara wanted it to happen and warned of a bloody process? What’s keeping them? No less than the hypocrites in UP and the Catholic church expressed their disappointment over the delay.
The entertainment just won’t stop, as if the life of this nation evolves around two great political families.
Wake up, people. There are a lot of more important business to attend to than just the political survival of the Dutertes and the Marcoses. It’s the survival of this nation and the Filipino people.
It won’t matter if VP Sara gets impeached or not. BBM will still be the president and for that, he controls our foreign policy for the next three years. Yes, three long years when anything could happen that will change the course of our history.
Look beyond our shores! Two giants are fighting for supremacy. While one keeps on doing business with most of the nations of the world, the other is imposing its will on other countries or else, there would be chaos and arm conflicts. As they say, one drops aids in Gaza to save lives while the other drops bombs. We are certainly on the wrong side of history.
NATO is itching for war against Russia. France is destabilizing African nations that have driven out French military and business out of their lands. Israel continues to ignore UN demands to stop the war and the great USA is stoking the flame for hostilities in the Pacific rim. And where do we stand. Our government, our high ranking officials, our military top brass, they are all for America. They now talk like Americans, think like Americans and act like brown Americans.
What if hostilities erupt? Who do you think will protect us? The GIs, their military weapons, their missiles? All of these will be worthless if war breaks out.
China threat has been a good sales pitch used by the US. US waited for the right moment to warn PH, “Hey, guys! The Chinese are now at your doorstep.” And so, we believe the US, make love with them like prostitutes, buy their fighter jets, missiles, tanks and whatever US can offer. But hey, they’re not for free. Utang iyan in billions. So, utang ng bayan, utang ng mga Pinoy. So, you think we are safe, right? Wrong. We aren’t.
You think what the US supplied us will make us stronger? Are they deterrents? Are they supposed to protect us from annihilation? Bah…
Have you not heard what China said about war against US? Check your news and don’t be fooled by our little brown Americans. It’s their agenda not ours as a people.
While Pres. Trump is courting and begging China for an audience, his Sec. of Defense Pete Hogshit is telling their allies to increase their defense spending. Aren’t we getting the picture?
China is not our enemy. Their army will never set foot on our land. The South China Sea has territorial dispute which is recognized by all parties but being discussed professionally. Why are we buying the US narratives? Is our own government selling us to become America’s pawns in their proxy wars?
We lost many economic opportunities enjoyed by our Asian neighbors. They too have disputes with China but aren’t belligerent. We are acting like American cowboys ready to pull the trigger like pistoleros. We are losers.
Again, wake up, Pinoy, though it’s a bit too late.
