The recent motion in favor to archive the articles of
impeachment today decided unanimously by the strong majority in due respect to the Supreme Courts Ruling.
Accountability is a cornerstone of democracy, essential for fostering transparency and trust between leaders and the common people Senate President Chiz Escudero’s assertion that his vote aligns with upholding the rule of law standing in a commitment to legal principles rather than personal vendettas. However, it is also crucial to differentiate between genuine calls for justice and those motivated by political ambition which can cloud judgment and lead to biased interpretations of accountability. Why so focused on removing the Vice President what is the urgency?,why not run in the 2028 Election leave the electorate decide, and attend to more urgent and pressing matters at hand.

The emotional weight behind the impeachment proceedings leads to political frustrations with governance under the Marcos administration and the losing their trust to this government. Many perceive efforts for impeachment as an opportunity not just for accountability but also as a means to settle scores by removing her as a leading contender for the Presidency. This duality complicates public disclosure—are we seeking truth through due process, or merely pursuing revenge against perceived injustices? Understanding this distinction is vital for any meaningful resolution seeking the true meaning of justice.

A trial seeks to establish facts based on evidence; however, when motives blur this pursuit with vindictiveness, it rules over democratic processes. Escudero’s call to prioritize constitutional values over political agendas intensifies the critical need for introspection within. We must ask those in power whether our actions contribute to genuine justice or simply perpetuate cycles of conflict fueled by personal biases.

While Escudero’s vote and the strong 19 majority to archive in favor of Senator Rodante Marcoletas move against Sotto may be framed as a defense of legal integrity, it simultaneously challenges us all to reflect on our motivations regarding accountability in governance. As the people engaged in democratic processes, it is also imperative
that we advocate for truth rather than destroy the opponent to a meaningless impeachment only then can we implore a political structure rooted in justice and mutual respect for the Law.

While you know the anti Duterte camp cannot penetrate after all their ammunitions are exhausted, justice will still prevail. The Supreme Courts decision is final and executory and ordered the Senate to block any proceedings of the impeachment therefore has no jurisdiction.Meanwhile the filing of the Lower Chamber for a motion for reconsideration carries no weight on the Ruling, insisting it,is a form of recusal resulting to a contitutional crisis and will lead this country to its total damnation.
