Rotary Club of Bukidnon’s Water Sanitation and Hygiene Project Unfolds

On February 7th, 2024, the Rotary Club of Central Bukidnon extended a beacon of Hope to the educators and students of Tandacol Integrated School and Malingon Elementary School. A momentous occasion unfolded with the Turn Over Ceremony and MOA signing, marking the initiation of a crucial project in the realm of Water Sanitation and Hygiene.

At Tandacol Integrated School in Barangay Lilingayon, Valencia City, a comprehensive endeavor took shape. The project encompassed the Rehabilitation of Reservoir and the Installation of Handwashing Facility. This involved linking the water supply from the primary source and enhancing the restroom facilities in every classroom.

Similarly, in Malingon Elementary School located in Barangay Bagontaas, Valencia City, Bukidnon, efforts focused on fortifying the existing infrastructure. Through the provision of pipes to the water tank, along with drilling, excavation, and the installation of a water pump, the school’s handwashing facilities were significantly improved.

This community service endeavor bore fruit through the collaborative spirit and magnanimity of the Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Central Bukidnon, led by Rotarian Vincy June A. Polinar. Funding for this noble cause stemmed from the District Grant of District 3870, spearheaded by the esteemed District Governor, Gilda “Gigi” Go.
