BAE NABIHA “NONI” Lao, Meranaw women sectoral representative in Bangsamoro Council of Elders, joined the Provincial-wide “Prayer Rally: A Call for a Safe, Orderly, and Peaceful election in Marawi City and Lanao Del Sur”.Â
Lao told the Mindanao Daily News that the rally was participated in by more than 500 advocates composed of volunteers, government agencies, and schools in both public and private.
“In our meeting, we have emphasized on the roles of CSOs, peace advocates, and the community people as Stakeholders that they must be vigilant during the conduct of BSK 2023 election. “Maging aktibo at mapagmatyag sa panahon ng eleksyon, isumbong sa atoridad, tulad ng COMELEC, LGUs, PNP,ARMY kung anoman and ang makitang labag sa batas ng eleksyon,” Lao added.
Meantime, PMAJ ALINAID S MONER, C, PCADU led the contingent of Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office under the direct supervision of PCOL ROBERT S DACULAN, Provincial Director. They participated in the Peace Rally conducted in the morning of October 18, 2023, organized by the Ministry of Public Order and Safety as part of the Ministry’s effort to support a peaceful and safe BSKE 2023 in line with their delegated responsibility of maintaining public order and safety, peace building, reconciliation and unification of the people of Bangsamoro Region.
The participants, coming from different sectors of society converged at Banggolo Bridge and took a Peace Walk going to Rizal Park, Marawi City for a Program which was highlighted by Peace Messages and Signing of Pledge of Commitment.
In the municipality of Maguing, Lanao Del Sur, PCOL Robert S. Daculan attended the signing of the Peace Covenant witnessed by Maguing Municipal PNP Station, COMELEC jointly conducted the integrity Pledge Peace Covenant on October 17, 2023 held at the Municipal Gymnasium Madaya, Poblacion this municipality.
It was learned that other personalities who participated and witnessed the event were LCT Eduard L. Sia-Ed, Commanding Officer, 51D, 1ID, PA, PMAJ BLAYIN M. LOMAS-E, COP, Maguing MPS, Mayor Dr. Fahad D. Molok, of Maguing,
Mohammad Fahad M. Hadji Malik, Municipal Vice Mayor, Marthyr Hary B. Sumalipao, Election Officer, Mamaulan A. Molok, Municipal Administrator, Cadidia Minirigue District Supervisor, and All BSKE candidates.
The main objective of this Peace Covenant signing is to strengthen unity and coordination for a peaceful BSK 2023 election. Daculan said. ###
