
SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Police Regional Office 13 Deputy Regional Director for Administration Rommel A. Rumbaoa has been promoted to the rank of police brigadier general.
Rumbaoa took his oath of office and received his one-star rank during a ceremony held at Bulwagang Lapu-Lapu in Camp Brig. Gen. Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City, on July 17.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. administered the oath and led the ceremonial donning of ranks.
Rumbaoa’s promotion was formalized under General Orders No. NHQ-GO-PR-2026-3262.
As deputy regional director for administration, Rumbaoa oversees administrative operations and organizational support services that contribute to the operational readiness of police units in the Caraga region.
PRO-13 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV congratulated Rumbaoa, describing the promotion as recognition of his years of service and leadership in the police organization.
“PBGEN Rumbaoa’s promotion is a testament to his professionalism, integrity and unwavering dedication to duty,” Magistrado said.
He added that Rumbaoa’s experience and leadership would help strengthen the regional police office and inspire its personnel.
PRO-13 personnel also expressed support for Rumbaoa as he takes on greater responsibilities under his new rank.
The regional police office said the promotion is expected to further strengthen its administrative leadership and its delivery of police services across Caraga.
