PhilHealth Region 10 Regional Vice President Delio Aseron II recently paid a courtesy visit to Governor Juliette Uy, highlighting the agency’s programs and services. During their meeting, Aseron discussed the DOH-retained hospitals that offer free medical services to patients, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses.

Aseron emphasized the agency’s YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan) Program, designed to prevent illnesses through free consultations, laboratory tests, cancer screenings, and take-home medicines. Additionally, PhilHealth is set to launch the GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) program, which allocates PHP 20,000 for maintenance drugs per patient.

The agency also offers select cancer screening tests for lung, breast, and colorectal cancer. Aseron noted that these programs aim to provide accessible healthcare services to the public, particularly those in need.

PhilHealth has partnered with the Provincial Health Office to conduct the UNITY Health Caravan, scheduled for the last week of August. The caravan aims to register individuals and provide them with PhilHealth coverage, ensuring they receive medical attention when needed.

Governor Juliette Uy prioritizes expanding healthcare programs to benefit the community. The partnership between PhilHealth and the local government underscores their commitment to improving healthcare services and promoting the well-being of residents.
