SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur–The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga continues its distribution of potable water assistance across the municipalities of Dinagat Islands as part of the government’s ongoing response to address the province’s water crisis.
A total of 10,800 boxes of drinking water, each containing 6.6 liters of potable water, are being delivered to affected residents and families experiencing water supply shortages.
The latest distribution is part of the second and third phases of OCD-Caraga’s sustained water assistance program for communities affected by the crisis.
The initiative is being carried out in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) and concerned municipal local government units to ensure the timely delivery of essential water supplies to affected communities.
The PDRRMC, under the leadership of Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr., along with its member agencies and the people of Dinagat Islands, expressed appreciation to OCD-Caraga for its continued support and commitment in providing humanitarian assistance amid the ongoing water shortage.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands continues to strengthen coordination with national government agencies, local government units, and other stakeholders to sustain response efforts and address the immediate needs of communities affected by the water crisis.
