CAMPUS HEAD OF THE MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY -MAIGO SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADE ATTY JAMALODEN A. BSAR spearheaded for a special prayer gathering to express to the victims and their love ones. The prayer event highlighted the shared feelings of sadness and care bringing the community together during the tough times This was initiated after the unfortunate incident at Dimaporo Gymnasium on December 3,2023, in MSU Marawi campus. the MSU-MSAT community composed of (Muslim and Christians) gathered together on December 6,,2023 at the Campus Basket Court for a special prayer.
During the event, 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐀. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫 shared a compassionate message of support and condolences for the victims and their families. He also encouraged unity among MSU Community members despite differing religious beliefs, such as those between Muslims and Christians. He emphasized that the collective strength will guide the MSU Community through these challenging times and uphold the enduring values of peace, diversity, and unity within MSU. These values emanate from the cherished mantra of 𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐃. 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐨, encapsulated in the principle of “𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐌𝐒𝐔.”

As a gesture of deep respect, flowers were thoughtfully arranged to symbolize remembrance. Each flower represented a shared sense of sorrow and encouragement for the grieving process journey of the victims’ families.
To show unity, white balloons were released into the sky, carrying messages of hope and togetherness. This symbolic act aimed to show the MSU community’s strength and commitment to standing together in tough times. The peaceful rise of the white balloons was a strong visual message, symbolizing the collective spirit rising above the sad circumstances.
As the event ended, the MSU-MSAT community left with a strengthened sense of connection. The gathering emphasized the importance of mutual support and compassion within the MSU System community, showcasing the resilient spirit of MSU constituents even in challenging circumstances. The MSU-MSAT community stands steadfastly united with MSU-Marawi, providing ongoing support and solace throughout these difficult times.
