Misor’s Big 4 Files Certificate of Candidacy

MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Touted as the Big 4 of Misamis Oriental, Governor Peter “Sr Pedro” M. Unabia, V-Governor Jonahmar “Jigjag” Pelaez, Congressmen Christian Unabia and Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano filed their certificate of candidacies under the Paglaum-Padayon- Pilipino Lakas CMD party.

All four will seek reelection from their current posts. Governor Unabia, who is seeking reelection for his second term as governor of the province, will be challenged by Former Villanueva Mayor Juliet Uy, while Vice Governor Pelaez will be challenged by former Board member Erick Khu.

No one has filed to challenge Cong Bambi Emano for the province’s second district. But First District’s Cong Christian Unabia will be challenged by Karen Lagbas. Lagbas was defeated by Unabia in their first battle three years ago for the same post.

During the filing, thousands of supporters joined Governor Unabia’s Paglaum-Padayon Pilipino Lakas CMD party in a ceremonial march going to the provincial office of the Commission on Elections.

Unabia and his ticket were also accompanied by his wife Erlinda Unabia, their son Joshua Unabia, who is also running for mayor in Balingasag town,

Also present were Vice Gov. Jeremy Jonahmar “Jigjag” Pelaez, Robert “Bobet” de lara board members and mayors and vice mayors at the back John Venice Ladaga provincial administrator, Mayor Aaron Unabia of Balingoan town, and Mayoralty candidate of Villanueva Vergilia “Bebing” Dumadag.
