MASADA LAUDS SUPREME COURT ORDER TO RELEASE SARO

COTABATO CITY –Masa Sara Duterte Alliance (MASADA) Chairman Ben Ranque has lauded Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen of his directive to the Marcos administratioto submit to the Supreme Court all Statement of Allotment Release Orders (SAROs) relative to the Unprogrammed Appropriations (UA), including certifications of “excess income”from the Bureau of the Treasury.

Ranque said not only those lists the SC are asking but all other detailed documents involving amounts that were earlier released.

For a sustained guideposts of the release of the national budget, steps in upholding transparencyin government transactions must always be secured, the Founding Chairman of MASADA emphasized.

The people deserves to know where are those funds are being coursed through, and one particular concern of those funds are from PhilHealth, Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, Government Service Insurance System and Social Security System, Ranque said.

The public must know how much budget are being allotted for flood control projects— called “ghost projects”, he added.

The people awaits for the SC investigation on SARO, and all must be accountable of whatever the result, not sparing anyone involved in this massive corruption that depleted our economy to the hilt under the Marcos administration, Ranque added.
