Governor Juliette Uy Elected as Social Development Committee Chairperson of Regional Development Council

Governor Juliette Uy of Misamis Oriental has been elected as the Chairperson of the Social Development Committee of the Regional Development Council (RDC). This appointment was made during the Reorganization Meeting held on August 11, 2025, where local chief executives from across Region 10 gathered to select committee officers.

Key Appointments:

– Regional Development Council Chairperson: Misamis Occidental Governor Hon. Henry Oaminal

– Macro and Development Administration Committee Chairperson: Camiguin Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo

– Economic and Development Committee Chairperson: Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao

– *Infrastructure and Utilities Development Committee Chairperson*: Bukidnon Governor Hon. Rogelio Neil Roque

The meeting was led by Regional Director Mylah Faye Aurora Cariño of the Department of Economic, Planning and Development. Cariño expressed gratitude to the officers who accepted the challenge of serving on the committees and pledged to collaborate to ensure the successful implementation of programs for the people

Governor Uy’s Background:

As a seasoned politician, Governor Uy has previously served as the representative of Misamis Oriental’s 2nd district from 2013 to 2022. Her leadership experience and commitment to public service have been instrumental in driving development initiatives in the province.
