Misamis Oriental – Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia actively participated in the 137th Regional Development Council Region X (RDC-X) Full Council Meeting, discussing relevant matters pertaining to the development of the region and emphasizing holistic growth for Northern Mindanao.

As Chairperson for the RDC-X Infrastructure and Utilities Development Committee, Governor Unabia endorsed crucial FY 2025 Budget Proposals of Infrastructure Development Sector Agencies. These proposals are pivotal for implementing various Programs, Activities, and Projects essential for the region’s comprehensive development.

Additionally, notable projects such as the Philippine Health System Resilient Project (HSRP) of DOH and the establishment of a Psychiatric Facility were endorsed, alongside innovative initiatives like Cellular Mobile Telecommunications Services and Broadband Mapping, the first of its kind in the Philippines.

This productive meeting is aligned with Governor Unabia’s Paglaum Development Agenda, focusing on Participatory and Consultative Governance, which yielded 90 resolutions aimed at elevating living standards across Northern Mindanao, particularly in Misamis Oriental province.(Gerry Lee Gorit)
