MISAMIS ORIENTAL – A prominent businessman who owns a fleet of passenger jeeps and buses plying the province has filed his certificate of candidacy as mayoralty candidate of Laguindingan under the Paglaum-Padayon Pilipino Lakas CMD political party, on yesterday October 5, 2024.
Donald Rey Salcedo Ellarina, most popularly known as “Donsals,” was also officially endorsed by the outgoing mayor Diosdado Obsioma, aside from the full backing of Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia of this province.
Alongside Ellarina, those who also filed their COCs include Vice Mayoralty candidate Ozzellyna Obsioma “Baneng” San Jose and his complete Sangguniang Bayan bets, including Oliver “Bong” Lumagbas Ubaub, Avelino “Kheke” Micabalo Mejos, Joseph “Boboy” Bagas Padero, Rowena “Aweng” Bagas Bensing, Analisa “Ling” Gaid Refuerzo, Diel Adams “Dam-dam” Gutierrez Obsioma, Francisco “Loloy” Nave Saburao Jr. and Lito ” Lito” Catian Bahian.
In his speech, Mayor Obsioma reminded the people that there is only one election every three years so that choosing the best candidate is very crucial, or else the people will suffer from their wrong decision.
Mayor obsioma has endorsed Donsals Ellarina as the best candidate to lead the people of the booming town of Laguindingan to be more productive in the next three years in terms of developments.
“The next mayor should be supported by Governor Unabia, Reps Christian S. Unabia (First District) and Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano (2nd District) so that the town will experience total and full package development,” Obsioma said.
Congressman Emano has also openly supported the candidacy of Donsals Ellarina. He told the people of Laguindingan to do his best to make the airport in Laguindingan an international airport in the country. He assured the public that with the entry of Aboitiz, more upgrades will be made to make it an internationally compliant airport.
Governor Unabia also urged the people to help the candidacy of all the bets of the Paglaum-Padayon Pilipino most especially the candidacy of new candidate Donsals Ellarina.
He said the people of Laguindingan should be in one voice and that is to support the candidacy of Ellarina and all other candidates of Paglaum-Padayon Pilipino.
“It is very important that Mayor Donsals will win, so that the development of Laguindingan will continue, especially that Laguindingan Airport needs major attention to fast track the plan of making it an international airport,” the governor said.
