AS part of its 53rd Anniversary celebration, COWD employees planted bamboo yesterday, August 14, 2026, at Cala-Cala, Macasandig, demonstrating their commitment to environmental protection and community responsibility.
The activity was also conducted in support of an activity urged by the Philippine Association of Water Districts (PAWD) as it celebrates its 52nd Anniversary. COWD, as a PAWD member, is proud to join in this meaningful environmental initiative.
Bamboo helps stabilize soil, reduce riverbank erosion, slow down runoff, support biodiversity and contribute to a healthier watershed.
