City College of Cagayan de Oro all ready for AY 2026-2027

TOMORROW is the last leg of the City College Admission Test (CCAT) for those who want to study in the City College of Cagayan de Oro for free.

The examination is open to graduating senior high school students starting Friday, February 13 of this year and is being conducted at the City College of Cagayan de Oro campus in barangay Agusan in this city.

Those who graduated in previous years, Alternative Learning System (ALS) completers, transferees, and graduates of the old curriculum were also allowed to apply, according to guidance counselor Faith Colarte in a recent interview.

There have been a total of 32 examinations administered with 400 individuals expected to be accepted and enroll in the coming academic year which will start by July.

The City College of Cagayan de Oro offers the following four-year courses:

  • Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education
  • Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education
  • Bachelor of Arts in Communication
  • Bachelor of Science in Social Work
  • Bachelor of Science in Office Administration
  • Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship

The admission test serves as a qualifying exam for applicants who wish to enter and study in the city’s free college program.

The program continues to be strengthened under the administration of Mayor Rolando Uy led by Dr. Jestoni Babia, president of the City College of Cagayan de Oro. CIO
