THE Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) led by its incumbent president Jerome de la Fuente is all set to host southern Philippines’ yearly premier chefs competition Kumbira.
The Kumbira edition this annum will be the 30th and it is slated October 14 to 16 at Limketkai Atrium.
Competitions for both professional chefs and students include the following: Kumbira Chef Master; Kumbira Cake Master; Kumbira Brew Master; Kumbira Bar Master; Kumbira Latte Art Master; Kumbira Masters Junior Edition; regional recipe challenges (moderna kusinarya, best regional ingredients, best regional traditional/modern recipe and cooking technique, regional pica-pica, regional bartender/flairtending competition, regional coffee concoction, regional jams and preserves, regional fruit flambe, regional kakanin); buffet table floral centerpiece; fruits and vegetables showpiece; ham garnishing and more.
