SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — A 14-year-old girl was found unconscious in Purok 7, Barangay. Palasao in Cantilan town in Surigao del Sur on April 16, 2026, prompting swift action from local police.
At around 10:25 a.m., personnel from Cantilan Municipal Police Station (MPS) , led by PMSg Kenrend Arch P. Yparraguirre and supervised by PMAJ Joevarie S. Arreza, were conducting routine patrols when they discovered the teen in distress.
“The officers immediately rendered aid and ensured the victim’s safety,” said a police spokesperson. The girl was carefully transported to Madrid District Hospital for urgent medical attention.
“The incident highlights the prompt and compassionate response of Cantilan MPS personnel, showcasing their dedication to public service and community safety,” said a statement from Police Regional Office 13 Facebook page.
