BARMM Provides Street Lighting in Tipo-tipo Town, says VM Istarul

TIPO-TIPO, Basilan – The town of Tipo-tipo in Basilan has been a recipient of a street lighting project coming from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. (BARMM)

In an exclusive interview with MDN, Vice Mayor Ingatun Istarul said BARMM has also included the town in their street lighting project which had already reached a total budget of several millions, including other towns of the province.

VM Istarul said their town was very blessed to have one of the main beneficiaries of the multi-million lighting project of the BARMM Region in Southern Philippines.

“Dito sa ating munisipyo underway ang construction ng mga roads at kasama na dito and street lights. Every kilometer merong 36 lights kasama na sa road concreting budget, the Vice Mayor said.

He said right now the town has problems with coco plantations but they are doing their best to remedy the situation.

“With the Mandanas ruling the share of Local Government Units (LGU) is increasing so we are very grateful for this development. magfo-focus kami sa rehabilitation efforts,” Istarul claimed.

MAJOR PRODUCTS

Major products that the town of Tipo-tipo is focusing on include rubber plantation, coconut production and many other farmers are now being looked into for help and government support.
