AGRI-Asenso sa NorthMin Product Expo and Techno Forum officially opens at Ayala Centrio Mall on April 28, bringing together farmers, stakeholders and government partners to advance a more resilient, market-ready and profitable coconut farming industry and agriculture sector in Northern Mindanao.
The activity centers on the term ‘Asenso’ which reflects the core mission of the ATI-10, that aims to transform and capacitate farmers into competitive actors in the field of agribusiness, under a Bagong Pilipinas.

Department of Agriculture-10 Regional Executive Director Jose Apollo Y. Pacamalan strongly expressed his support for the successful conduct of the AgriAsenso Expo.
He also assured that the agency will continue to support farmers, especially amid the current increase in the prices of fertilizer and other farming inputs.

They will likewise sustain their support for farmers in the midst of the El Niño being experienced in the country.
On behalf of Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, City Councilor Juancho R. Pascual expressed the support of the local government, where he recognized the importance of farmers as partners in ensuring food security in the city and across the entire region.

On behalf of Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette Uy, Board Member Princess N. Emano expressed the provincial government’s commitment to continue supporting farmers, especially the coconut industry, in partnership with government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The provincial government recognized agriculture—particularly the coconut farming sector—as a means to address food security and reduce poverty. PIA/ATI
