Army troops, reservists aid Enteng-afflicted communities 

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army’s emergency and disaster response units rescued flooding victims across Luzon amid the onslaught of tropical storm “Enteng” on September 2, 2024.

Amid the challenges posed by the storm, the disaster response team from the 1st Infantry Battalion under the 202nd Infantry Brigade evacuated a pregnant woman from Barangay Sinag-Tala, Mabitac, Laguna as she neared the delivery of her baby.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Regional Community Defense Group of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RCPA) readied its disaster personnel and equipment for possible deployment in the Cagayan Valley Region amid the threat posed by “Enteng.” 
The disaster response team from the 84th Infantry Battalion, 7th Infantry Division also assisted flooding victims in Barangay Santo Tomas and other flooded areas in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija.

The Army leadership ensured the readiness of its disaster response teams in assisting and serving communities, especially in times of calamities and other natural disasters.
