AMAI MANABILANG, Lanao del Sur – Newly elected Chairman Abdullah Ampuan of Barangay Pagalamatan, Amai Manabilang town, this province, has vowed to implement worthwhile projects during his term.
IN an interview with Mindanao Daily News, he said one of his biggest projects in the barangay will be the establishment of a gymnasium so that his constituents would enjoy different sports and all other activities.
“Usa sa akong gihunahuna mao gayud ang pagmugna sa gymnasium. Dugay na kini nga pangandoy sa mga katawhan dinhi sa Pagalamatan. (One of the big projects that I’m going to implement is the establishment of gymnasium), the barangay chairman said.
Ampuan said he also plans to eradicate the proliferation of drugs in his barangay. “There have been many problems in the barangay because of the drugs that proliferate in the barangay. I want to minimize the proliferation of drugs in my barangay.”
The barangay chairman also reiterated his concern on the plight of jobless women in the barangay. He said he also plans to implement a lot of livelihood opportunities for both men and women so that it would be easy for the people to earn a living.
“When they have livelihood opportunities they can earn and have some earnings to feed their families. I am planning to implement a lot of livelihood opportunities,” he said.
Meeting with Mayor
The newly-elected chairman said he would want to meet Mayor Mastura Manabilang and ask for her help especially in the implementation of various livelihood projects.
