CAGAYAN de Oro City first district Rep. Lordan Suan, who is still on congressional holiday break, led the turnover of a covered court inside PN “Oloy” Roa National High School in barangay Canitoan, this city November 4.

The P10-million project was part of the 2024 national budget lobbied by Suan so that students could utilize the facility in their various activities from basketball games to extracurricular events.

During the turnover, students president Shahannah Lei Mulawan said the studentry were all delighted that they could already hold their affairs in the shade without worrying of the extreme elements of the sun and rain.

For his part, Suan made sure that many of the infrastructure projects destined for his district go to education “because I was a student once and I can empathize with what you need and what you feel.”

These remarks were greeted with erupting cheers from the students, teachers and parents alike who watched the ceremony both on the ground and the adjoining buildings that line up the massive campus situated in sitio Calaanan in the said barangay.

The activity was also graced by barangay chairman Lancelot Allan Padla himself along with his predecessor and incumbent barangay kagawad Joshua Taboclaon.
