SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Police Brigadier General Rolindo M. Suguilon assumed office as the new Regional Director of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO13) on Friday, August 28, replacing Police Brigadier General Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV.

The turnover ceremony was held at the PRO13 Multi-Purpose Center inside Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez in Libertad, Butuan City.

Police Lieutenant General Bernard M. Banac, The Deputy Chief PNP for Administration, presided over the ceremony on behalf of Philippine National Police chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

In his assumption speech, Suguilon said he would continue efforts to maintain peace and order in the Caraga Region and sustain programs implemented under previous PRO13 leadership.

“To the people of Caraga, I embrace this command as a solemn commitment to God, country, and the Filipino people. Together—as one disciplined, dedicated, and community-centered police force—let us build a safer, more peaceful, and more prosperous Caraga for all,” Suguilon said.

Suguilon is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy “PATNUBAY” Class of 1995.

Before his assignment to PRO13, he served as director of the PNP Training Service.

As regional director, Suguilon will oversee police operations and personnel across Caraga and will be responsible for implementing PNP policies and programs related to law enforcement, public safety, crime prevention, and peace and order.

Magistrado, meanwhile, is expected to assume a new assignment at the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership.
