THE cities of San Juan led by Mayor Francis Zamora and Gingoog led by Mayor Erick Cañosa officially sealed a sisterhood agreement during a ceremony held at Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental on Wednesday, July 29, this year.

According to Zamora, as president of the League of Cities of the Philippines, he hopes to bring Gingoog City’s products to the country’s capital and further promote the city’s various initiatives including its tourism industry.

The agreement also aims to strengthen cooperation between the two cities to help foster their mutual growth and development.

Zamora emphasized that sisterhood agreements between cities are important because they allow local governments to share best practices and effective strategies that can help each city grow and develop.

He said that while sharing answers is prohibited in school, sharing ideas among local governments is essential so they can learn from one another and provide better and more effective services to the public.

Upon Zamora’s arrival, he was warmly welcomed by city employees and other local officials.
