CAGAYAN de Oro City under the leadership of Rolando Uy and the municipality of Opol, Misamis Oriental under the leadership of Mayor Jayfrancis Bago have once again been recognized after successfully passing the 2025 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping assessment conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping, formerly known as the Seal of Good Housekeeping, is a prestigious recognition that certifies a local government unit’s integrity, transparency, and full accountability in the management and expenditure of public funds.
The assessment evaluates a local government’s compliance with auditing standards as well as policies requiring transparency and public disclosure of information.
The city government’s successful passage of the assessment means that it maintained clean audit records, properly complied with the full disclosure policy and prepared all the required means of verification for the evaluation.
This achievement serves as proof of the continued efforts of both administrations under their respective mayors to strengthen good governance and ensure the responsible management of public funds.
The LGU of Opol has been recognized as a passer of the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (SGFH) continuously from the first term beginning in 2022 through 2025. CIO/MDN
