THE pharmacy at the Cagayan de Oro City Hospital-Lumbia was formally opened to the public on Wednesday, June 17, with the goal of further improving access to essential medicines and pharmaceutical services for patients especially those living in upland communities.
Its opening demonstrates the continued efforts of the hospital and the local government under the leadership of Rolando Uy to provide accessible, high-quality, and appropriate health care services to the people of Cagayan de Oro.

The launch of the hospital pharmacy was led by Mayor Klarex Uy together with City Hospital-Lumbia chief of hospital Ferdinand Miranda, Michael June Perez as well as doctors, nurses and personnel of City Hospital-Lumbia.
Selected residents of Lumbia also attended the event.
The pharmacy will provide free medicines to patients whenever stocks are available.
Patients only need to present a prescription and follow the required procedures.
According to Dr. Miranda, the opening of the pharmacy is part of City Hospital-Lumbia’s efforts to improve its services and prepare the hospital for an upgrade from an infirmary to a Level 1 hospital.
The pharmacy will be open every Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
It will also remain open on holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The opening of the pharmacy at City Hospital-Lumbia is one of several initiatives aimed at strengthening quality and more accessible healthcare services for the people of Cagayan de Oro which continue to be implemented under the administration of Mayor Klarex Uy.
