6ID at Awang Health Center join force against Tigdas

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – In order to prevent the increase in cases of measles or measles, the 6th Infantry (Army) Division and Awang Health Center of the Rural Health Unit of Datu Odin Sinsuat joined forces to vaccinate children.

It was conducted today (April 9, 2024) at the 6ID headquarters in Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte led by the Assistant Chief of Staff for CMO, OG7 and vaccinators of the Awang Health Center in collaboration with the Integrated Provincial Health Office ( IPHO) Maguindanao del Norte and Camp Siongco Station Hospital.

According to Juliaka Emma Laguiab of the Rural Health Unit of Awang, this is a response to the growing threat of the outbreak.

They are not only vaccinating military dependents aged six months to ten years old but also young people in Barangay Awang and nearby areas.

Col said. Romel S. Valencia, OG7, 6ID that the military is accompanying various government agencies, especially the Ministry of Health here in BARMM in carrying out vaccination against measles.

It can be recalled that the MOH announced mass vaccination starting in April, following the declaration of the outbreak. The goal of this initiative is to ensure that many residents have access to the measles vaccine, which will protect them from this contagious disease.
