Victims of the typhoon in Upi, Maguindanao, received help from various sectors

Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – Kiwanis International Philippine South District distributed relief goods during the relief operations they launched in Barangay Nuro Upi, Maguindanao with the 57th Infantry (Masikap) Battalion this morning on Saturday, November 5, 2022 .

Residents in Sitio Happy Valley of Barangay Nuro, Notre Dame of Upi and St. Francis Episcopal School of Upi is the happy recipient of relief goods from the private sector.

There are 1,288 relief goods, 200 gallons of water, 1,400 hygiene kits, 50 relief goods in buckets, 500 relief goods with only medicine, 372 Purefoods ready-to-eat packs from San Miguel Corporation, food and a KM 250 trees of preloved clothes was distributed by their organization to the victims of typhoon Paeng.

Accompanying the relief goods distribution are the Office to the Vice Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy of Davao de Oro, City Government of Tagum, Philippine Federation of Local Councils of Women, Business and Professional Women Davao Chapter, South Divers Point Sarangani, ECCan Project, 6th Infantry ( Kampilan) Division, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, and 10th Civil-Military Operations (Kalinav) Battalion.

Lieutenant Colonel Guillermo Mabute, Jr., Battalion Commander of the 57IB, was happy with the help extended by the private sector to residents in need.

“To the members of Kiwanis International, thank you very much for your help that brought joy to the residents here”, according to Lt. Col. Mabute, Jr.

Major General Roy Galido, Joint Task Force Central and 6ID Commander conveyed his gratitude to the stakeholders.

“We assure you of our full support in your upcoming relief operations”, said Maj. Gen. Galido.
