Ray Talimio Jr graduated from Notre Dame University Magna Cum Laude and was conferred with the University Leadership Award, the highest award given to a graduating student for active involvement in extra-curricular activities.
He has over 30 years of experience in the practice of profession having started as staff auditor of SGV & Co, Internal Audit Manager of Mindanao Development Bank, Director of Syntactics, Inc, and Managing Partner of TCT & Associates, CPAs. He is also a real estate broker and ranked 6th in the exams.
He served as PICPA Chapter President in 2003, Chairman of the PICPA 58th Annual National Convention in 2004, PICPA Regional Director from 2014-2016, Trustee of the PICPA Foundation and Chairman of the PICPA International Affairs Committee in 2016-2017, COMELEC Committee Chairperson and Co-Chairperson in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, respectively, and currently the GARCA Committee Chair for the years 2020-2021 and 2024-2026. He was awarded by PICPA as Most Outstanding CPA in Public Practice.
He was also active in civic clubs and religious organizations and served either as President, Assistant Governor, District Secretary, Director and Chairman like the Roatary Club of Cagayan de Oro, Brotherhoode of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Philippine Red Cross, and many more.
He is happily married to Melanie Rosalind Caragos-Talimio, CPA and blessed with 4 daughters (2 Doctors of Medicine, 1 Industrial Engineer/ASEAN Associate Engineer, and an accountancy student at University of San Carlos in Cebu City).
Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. after having served as its President in 2022 to 2023.
He is also the Co-Chairperson of the Economic Development Committee (EDC) of the Regional Development Council X (RDC-X) of NEDA Region 10 from 2022-2025, Chairman of the MSME Development Council of Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro from 2023-2025, BIMP-EAGA Committee Chairperson for Northern Mindanao from 2023-2025, and President of TaxHelp in the Philippines for 2023-2024.
