Macau SAR 9/27/25 – Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro 1 (ZCCDO1) shines at the 23rd Zonta International District 17 Conference in Macau held at Andaz Hotel in Macau as it proved its steadfast commitment to service and advocacy.
ZCCDO1 proudly won the prestigious Gold Award for New Z Clubs Sponsorship, celebrating the launch of Bulua National High School Z Club and Puntod National High School Z Club that helps high school students develop leadership skills, promotes career exploration, and encourages members to participate in community, school and international service.
Beyond the top honor, ZCCDO1 also won the Merit Award as Area 3 Outstanding Club Award for Biennium 2024-2026 standing tall alongside its sister Zonta Club of Iloilo. This recognition reflects the club’s unwavering dedication to empowering women and girls, uplifting communities, and as exemplar across the district.
Certificates were also given to the following past presidents (PP) for its length of service, namely: PP Sarah Borja, 46 years; PP Denvi Cabrera, 29 years and PP Rose Paras 27 years on their commitment and tenure of serving the club.
This milestone gains an international recognition of the club’s effort in making an impact across the community. As ZCCDO1 was once again in the limelight the club will continue to serve the community through service projects, advocacy, and public awareness campaigns.
With persistence and tenacity, the club is ready to building a sustainable, resilient and values-driven organization 30 years and beyond.
