PARAÑAQUE CITY— Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Fred Pascual lauded Filipino retailers who withstood the challenges brought by the pandemic and for emerging as a more stable and resilient enterprises. During the 2023 Outstanding Filipino Retailers (OFR) Awards Night on 08 June 2023 held at Okada Manila, he cited the significant contribution of these enterprises to the growth of the Philippine economy.
During his speech, Secretary Pascual shared that DTI will remain committed to helping Filipino businesses harness digital and technological capabilities, enabling them to reach wider markets and earn bigger profits. Further, he assured businesses that DTI will continue to assist them to facilitate MSMEs’ upscaling, upsizing, and upgrading.
The OFR Awards Special Edition 2023 is focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. The award covers the following categories: (1) Pandemic Resiliency; (2) Sustainability; (3) and Pandemic Retail Innovation.
