Governor Unabia releases P5M AICS fun

Misamis Provincial Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia, of Misamis Oriental and Ramel Jamen, Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sign a Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) allowing the DSWD to manage distribution of P 5 million as Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situation (AICS) in Misamis Oriental.

Misamis Oriental – Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia released P 5 million, part of the province Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

Unabia tasked the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the distribution of the AICS funds in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Ramel Jamen, the DSWD Regional Director and Jhunlymar Abella, head of the provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) cemented the partnership of Misamis Oriental, the DSWD and other stakeholders in the province’s commitment to social welfare.

The signing of this MOA also marks the beginning of a new chapter, committing to social welfare and crisis assistance dedicated to the AICS Program.

In a statement, Unabia said that the collaboration holds the promise of alleviating the plight of those in dire need in the province of Misamis Oriental.

He said that the province is making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing crises and hardships, ensuring that no one is left behind in times of need.

Jamen expressed gratitude to Gov. Unabia’s unwavering dedication to extending assistance to the people of Misamis Oriental through the AICS Program.

He assured Gov. Unabia that individuals facing crises would receive the support and needed assistance.

Provincial Board Members Rey Buhisan, Dexter Yasay, Syremae Emano, and SK President Kerwin Jess Soldevilla, witnessed the MOA signing.The initiative also aligns with Gov. Unabia’s PAGLAUM Development Agenda, which emphasizes “U” for Unified efforts for health and social services delivery and “M” for Mobilization of resources through equitable sharing.
