MISAMIS ORIENTAL – A series of activities will take centerstage for the upcoming 63rd Charter Day celebration of Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental.
The event will also mark PAGLAUM’s 44th Grand Kaliga Festival on July 23, according to Mayor Eric Cañosa in an interview with Mindanao News Daily.
The celebration will have two major activities – Miss Gingoog 2023, which consists of 16, candidates will be held on July 21; and the 44th Grand Kaliga Festival street dancing showdown that will also be held two days after.
Miss Gingoog City 2023 will receive P75,000; the first runner-up P50,000 and the second runner-up P30,000.
The grand winner will represent the city in the province’s Kuyamis Festival 2024 and in national beauty competitions.
Gingoog became a city in 1960 via Republic Act 2668.
