Experience Camiguin the Kurma way

FREEDIVE, dine, stay and explore. It’s definitely an all in one experience here in Camiguin!

Located in Yumbing – unarguably the liveliest barangay in the capital town of Mambajao – Kurma Eco Beach Lodge offers not just accommodations but dive tours and even dive lessons as well, in particular freedive.

Compared to other forms of diving, freedive is more physical and teaches you more about your body, mental and emotional relaxation and efficiencies versus other water activities. The practice is more internal and trains your mind and body.

Kurma (which is Sanskrit for “turtle”) holds freedive camps in the resort three to four times per year which includes the full level 1 freedive course for beginners up to level 3 students. Tuition is also inclusive of all meals, accommodation, adventure dives and workshops. The next one will be from August 23 to 28.

As a resort, Kurma Eco Beach Lodge has five intimate rooms and two family rooms. Its vegan-friendly restaurant offers the following dishes: Kurma salad, coconut burger, Asian invasion, vegan kare-kare, local ratatouille, Kurmadobo and more.

Although it is the premier diving site in Camiguin, Kurma Eco Beach Lodge welcomes daytime and overnight guests who simply want to relax during their stay in the island. Bookings can be done via their website kurmafreedive.com, Instagram kurmacamiguin or their Facebook page.

On the other hand, dive courses are offered via Mochanovs and RAID, freedive training, introduction to freediving and snorkeling tours around Camiguin.

Ease into the island way of life from the warm beach atmosphere to the familial service of Kurma!
