The announcement comes as part of a collaborative effort involving the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), District Engineer Vivian Lumingkit, Don Victoriano Mayor Dodong Murallon, local law enforcement, and military personnel.
The picturesque Mansawan Falls, nestled in the heart of Don Victoriano, has long been a hidden gem, known to only a fortunate few. However, Congressman Oaminal’s initiative aims to change that by investing a substantial P100 million fund into crafting pathways and facilities that will make the falls a prime spot for tourists seeking natural beauty and adventure.
The project, which aligns seamlessly with Governor Henry Oaminal’s Provincial tourism plan, holds the promise of boosting economic growth and furthering the development of Don Victoriano. Currently, the site is accessible through a route that requires more than 150 steps to reach, a challenging journey that often leaves visitors out of breath and exhausted. However, this will soon be a thing of the past, as plans include the construction of a new pathway that will ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
District Engineer Vivian Lumingkit expressed her optimism about the project, stating, “We are dedicated to transforming Mansawan Falls into a premier destination that showcases the natural beauty of Misamis Occidental.
