Cebu, Philippines – Borussia Dortmund (BVB), a leading club in the German Bundesliga and a prominent force in European football, is running a five-day football program at the Dynamic Herb Sports stadium, home of the Cebu Football Club. The football camp is being held from June 19 to June 23, 2023 and features the expertise of two highly accomplished German coaches from the BVB Football Academy – Volkan Ozkan and Niklas Flechsig.
As UEFA-accredited professionals, Volkan Ozkan and Niklas Flechsig bring their extensive experience and passion for the game to Cebu’s aspiring young footballers. The camp presents a golden opportunity for children aged 6 to 18 to benefit from their exceptional coaching skills and knowledge.
Niklas Flechsig, with over 12 years of coaching experience across various youth departments, has made a significant impact at esteemed organizations such as Brüser Berg, Bonner SC, Fubballverband Mitterhein, Jinghai Primary School, and Tianjin High School, both in Germany and abroad. In 2020, Niklas joined BVB as a coach at the BB Evonik Football Academy, further solidifying his involvement with the club.
Volkan Ozkan, a seasoned coach with over 15 years of experience, has also worked extensively in the youth departments of Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt International Football Academies. In 2020, he joined BVB as a coordinator for the soccer department and a coach at the German School Shanghai, further enhancing his exceptional coaching abilities.
The BVB Football Camp in Cebu is open to two age groups, 6 to 12 years old and 13 to 18 years old, offering participants a unique chance to develop and refine their skills, enhance tactical understanding, and foster teamwork under the guidance of these accomplished coaches.
