The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Davao’s Sub-port of Dadiangas undergoes the second and final stage of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) on August 18-19, 2022. This is in preparation for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification which will now cover Site 3 (Sub-port of Dadiangas).
During the opening conference, BOC Davao’s ISO Quality Management Unit (QMU) Lead Auditor Atty. Mohammad M. Ben-Usman presented the overview of the 2-day audit process and at the same time, highlighted the importance of aligning the Port’s processes under ISO standards.
Meanwhile, Sub-port of Dadiangas, Port Collector, Orlando Orlino assured that all audit findings will be complied within the prescribed period of the POD-QMU. Furthermore, Port Collector Orlino expressed his support for the POD-QMU as it bids to become the 2nd ISO Certified Sub-port in Mindanao.
The Port of Davao led by District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria, CESO V will continue to implement reforms that will improve its processes aligned with the ISO 9001:2015 standards, all of which are aimed to provide the highest level of service for its stakeholders.
