MANILA, 07 April 2025 — The Ilocano Ako Party List led by Representative Richelle Singson vowed to go all -out support for the country’s transport sector once re-elected in the 20th Congress.
“Reflecting on the achievements of Ako Ilocano Partylist fills me with pride, especially when I think about Ako Ilocano Partylist’s support and hard work in reaching our goal of helping those in need through various economic and livelihood programs,” said Congresswoman Richelle Singson.
Over the years, I have been able to assist Filipinos across the country. I remain committed to our mission: “AKO ILOCANO AKO PARA SA PILIPINO.”
I want to express my gratitude to my Ako Ilocano Ako family—none of this would have been possible without all the support of the transport sector headed by LTOP National President Orlando Marquez.
TRANSPORT groups from all over the country have pledged support to Ako Ilocano PartyList and its first nominee Rep. Richelle Singson, daughter of former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson, Marquez said.
Here are some of the initiatives that Ako Ilocano Party List will continue advocating in the 20th Congress:
-SPORTS program, a community- focused initiative for the rural youth to excel in sports;
Scholarship program for children of drivers and operators
Livelihood for Women designed to uplift the family income of drivers and operators;
-Enlistment in the V Bank, ‘Banko ng Masa,’ PARA SA TRANSPORT GROUP, a comprehensive initiative aimed at providing universal access to banking services for Filipinos, particularly those who do not have access to formal financial institutions.
Currently, 77 percent of Filipinos do not have bank accounts, while 95 percent lack debit or credit cards.
Representative Richelle Singson’s plan seeks to change this by ensuring that every Filipino aged 18 and above has access to V Bank account and a credit card.
“Leadership, indeed, is not something one is simply born with; rather, it is a valuable skill that can be learned and cultivated over time. I am incredibly fortunate to have my Papang ( Luis Chavit Singson) as my role model in leadership. His example has been a guiding light for me, teaching the importance of integrity, compassion, and responsibility in leading others.
I have pursued my own advocacy, driven by different passions and interests, but I am united by one common goal: to become a great public servant who can positively impact the lives of fellow Filipinos recognizing that I cannot accomplish this alone, humbly asking for your support, Congresswoman Richelle Singson added.
