MISAMIS Oriental Governor Juliette Uy described Handog ng Pangulo 2026 as “a celebration of what public service truly means,” highlighting the government and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s efforts to bring programs, services and assistance closer to communities.
Uy said the nationwide culminating event demonstrates that “public service is strongest when all of us work together with one purpose in mind: to uplift lives and ensure that no Filipino is left behind.”
She thanked national government agencies and regional and provincial officials for joining the activity and delivering assistance in agriculture, social welfare, health, livelihood, housing, education, labor and public safety, among others.
Uy also told beneficiaries that the event represents government’s commitment to serving and standing with them, saying, “This is your government serving you. This is your government standing with you.” She called for continued cooperation and public service in helping address the needs of Misamisnons. (SAYUy/PIA)
