NORTHERN Mindanao has surpassed Davao Region in the most number of users for the super app government services platform eGovPH.
This was announced July 28 by Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) 10 director Sittie Rahma Alawi in an exclusive interview with Mindanao Daily News.
Alawi reported that as of July 1 this year, there were already 1,174,296 people here who have downloaded the app. Region 10 comprises Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Camiguin, Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte.
“I am happy na nararamdaman ng mga tao ang serbisyo ng gobyerno,” Alawi beamed.
From download to access, it only takes minutes to start using eGovPH either from App Store or Google Play and is compatible with even the lower versions of iOS and Android. Link your Philippine national ID or verify through secure authentication in minutes. Browse, apply and track government services – all from the comfort of where you are at the moment.
Officially maintained by DICT, eGovPH was rolled out two years ago to put government services into one mobile application instead of making citizens visit dozens of separate agency websites and offices.
In a related development, Alawi also announced that 125 national government agencies with offices here in Cagayan de Oro City are already connected to the national fiber backbone.
The national fiber backbone is a major government project led by DICT to provide fast, reliable and affordable Internet by connecting Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao into a single high speed digital highway.
