Guro assumes as Customs collector for Mindanao Container Terminal

COLLECTOR Nasrudin D. Guro led his first flag-raising ceremony on May 18, 2026, following his assumption as the new subport collector of the Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT).

In his first official address to the employees, Guro outlined his key policies and reform initiatives aimed at further strengthening the revenue collection efforts of the MCT.

He emphasized the importance of efficiency, accountability and strict compliance with customs regulations to ensure the consistent attainment of revenue targets align with the mandates of BOC.

He also asked employees for their support and cooperation in helping foster a harmonious and productive workplace.

“I ask for your support, cooperation, and teamwork. The success of this Subport depends not only on one leader, but on all of us working together with unity, dedication, and one common goal, to serve the Bureau of Customs and the public with integrity and excellence,” said Guro.

The Bureau of Customs Collection District X, under the leadership of Atty. Manuel O. Zurbito, Jr., officially welcomed Guro as the new subport ollector of MCT in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

In a formal turnover ceremony held on May 13, Guro officially succeeded outgoing MCT subport collector Atty. Geniefelle P. Lagmay, who has been reassigned as the new acting district collector of the Port of Subic.

This marks the return of Guro to MTC, where he previously served as chief of assessment before leading the subport of Iligan as subport collector for six years.
